For the last seven days through Sunday August 29, there were nine contracts signed for townhouses in Manhattan. So far in 2021, there have been 146 contracts signed for townhouses approaching the 2014 record of 153 contracts. [Mansion Global]
In the seven days through Sunday August 15, there were 33 contracts signed in Manhattan for residences priced for $4 million and above. Of those luxury contracts 79% or 26 were condos, 4 were townhouses and 3 were co-ops. During the prior week condos accounted for 75% of luxury contracts. Among seven major global cities, New York leads with 202 sales of properties priced over $10 million during the first six months of 2021 . This figure was nearly four times the sales total in 2020 and an increase of 36% from 2019. The aggregate value of the sold properties was $785 billion.
