Two residences at Aman New York , the Crown Building, on 57th street and Fifth avenue are in contract to sell for their full asking prices of $34.5 million and $30 million. The three bedroom apartments are each over 3,700 square feet. One is on the 18th floor; the other is on the 19th floor. The more expensive apartment includes a terrace of over 1,000 square feet with a private infinity-edge swimming pool and views of Central Park.

The Crown Building, built in 1921, is 26 stories and will consist of 83 hotel rooms and 22 residences on the top floors. The Crown Building was the first home of the Museum of Modern Art and has been transformed by architect Jean-Michel Gathey to reflect the building’s original splendor and the ultra luxe of Aman. Hotel amenities include a Garden Terrace & Bar with 7000 square feet of outdoor dining space, private members club, three-floor Aman Spa,  Jazz Club and Wine Room.

Three Penthouses At Beckford Tower On The Upper East Side List For $79 Million

Three penthouses at the Beckford House & Tower development on Manhattan’s Upper East Side have listed for a combined $79 million. They are all located on top of the 31 story 72 unit Beckford Tower portion of the development at 301 E. 80th St.

The 4,141 sqft penthouse 31, located at the building’s zenith, asks $20 million for four bedrooms, 5½ bathrooms and three terraces running 634 square feet total.

Penthouse 29 asks $29 million for 6,522 square feet across a full-floor with six bedrooms, 6½ bathrooms and 193 square feet of private outdoor space.

The $30 million, full floor penthouse 30 has six bedrooms and 7½ bathrooms across 5,452 square feet, with three terraces totaling 893 square feet.

Additional perks inside the homes include private elevator entries, 13 ft ceilings, and corner primary bedroom suites with wet bar, refrigerator and marbled bathrooms.

Beckford Tower’s amenities include a piano bar and lounge, a party room with a catering kitchen, an Art Deco-inspired pool area, a fitness center with yoga and training studios and a half-court for basketball.

“In Manhattan, penthouse contracts signed from Jan. 1 to May 31 of this year were the most on record since 2007,” the inception of the research data, reports Mansion Global . “A total of 222 penthouses went into contract in the first five months of the year, a 35% increase from the same period in 2019…

One of the highest-priced penthouse contracts so far this year is Penthouse 88A at 15 Hudson Yards on Manhattan’s far West Side, which went into contract asking $29.5 million earlier this month. 

Other notable penthouse transactions include a pair at the Four Seasons Private Residences at 30 Park Place in Tribeca, one went into contract in April and closed on May 26 for $18.5 million, and the other found a buyer with an asking price of $25 million on April 28. 

Also, a pair of penthouses at Lantern House in Chelsea, designed by Thomas Heatherwick, priced at $18.947 million and $16.975 million, went into contract in February and June, respectively.

Currently, the most expensive penthouse available for sale in Manhattan is the pinnacle penthouse at The Woolworth Tower Residences, listed for $79 million in March.”
